Santander wins VTR Oceánico Championship

Unluckily, once again the wind didn't appear in the Concón bay and the Glorias Navales Race Banco Edwards Citi Cup was annulled. Thus, the 2013-2014 VTR Oceánico Championship finished with the results that the boats had added until the seventh date.

Yesterday, when the day ended without races, Jorge Araneda's boat was announced virtual champion of the Chilean circuit because with the amount of races scheduled for today there was no chance of snatching top position on the podium from it.

These were the winner crewmembers: Jorge Araneda (owner), Jorge Araneda Jr., Pablo Lorca, Robert Riegel, Germán Rodríguez, Leonardo D'Onofrio, Guillermo Arrondo, Gonzalo Ramos, Federico Calabrese and Andrés Domato.

Horacio Pavez's Mitsubishi and Norberto Alvarez Vitale's Patagonia placed second and third position overall, respectively.

The edition 2014-2015 of the Chilean Championship will start on October with the Off Valparaíso Race.
