In the first day of the Glorias Navales Race Banco Edwards Citi Cup, the boats couldn't complete the scheduled races due to lack of wind in the Concón bay. Three more races are scheduled for tomorrow but Jorge Araneda's team is already virtual winner of the 2013-2014 VTR Oceánico Championship.
Although the boats completed a Practice Race with a 6 knots N wind, once they have finished the course, the wind stopped blowing and it didn't increase anymore, reason why the fleet was sent back to port. The competition will continue tomorrow at the Club de Yates Higuerillas, during the last day of the Chilean circuit.
There are three races scheduled for tomorrow, although Jorge Araneda's Santander is virtual champion of the 2013-2014 VTR Oceánico Championship (at the moment it adds 126 points). Second and third position remains in suspense; until now Horacio Pavez's Mitsubishi and Norberto Alvarez Vitale's Patagonia are occupying those places with 152 and 154 points, respectively.
There will be live tracking of the last races available on our website www.soto40.org/posicionadores.php (the links will be active some minutes before the start of each race).
