Patagonia wins

Without activities due to the catastrophe that affects the Chilean city of Valparaíso, today the Admiral Pedro Arrieta Trophy came to its end and Norberto Alvarez Vitale's Patagonia won first prize.

The competition finished with the only race that the boats could complete yesterday in the Concón bay, in which the Argentinean team of Patagonia was the winner.

The awards ceremony took place today at 1 pm at the Club de Yates Higuerillas with the presence of the Patagonia crewmembers Gabriel Marino, Juan Pablo Cadario, Antonia Undurraga, Angel Gil, Ismael Ayerza, Gonzalo Martínez, Diego Longstaff, Hernán Suarez, Mariano Parada and Lucas Ezequiel Vescio. The rest of the podium was completed by the boats Mitsubishi, property of Horacio Pavez, and Bernardo Matte's Pisco Black.

The wildfire that affects Valparaíso started yesterday afternoon and it was pushed by strong winds, so it rapidly swept through many zones, as the city was declared in state of emergency. Last night, the "Latin American Sails" parade was cancelled and the first warning signal was rescheduled for today at 12:30 in the Concón bay.

But this morning, given the seriousness of the facts, the Directory of the Club Náutico Oceánico decided to cancel all the activities.

The last date of the VTR Oceánico Championship will be "Glorias Navales Race", event that will be held at the Club de Yates Higuerillas on May 9-11.

Overall Results:

1 Patagonia
2 Mitsubishi
3 Pisco Black
4 Itau
5 Apolonia
6 Santander
7 Reloaded
