The 2014 Lark season kicks off!

by Charles Roome 10 Mar 2014 07:51 GMT 10 March 2014

And so here we are again, the kick off to the 2014 Lark season!

This year has a lot to offer on the Calendar. We are off to Carnac for the first international event with 4 other classes. We have new laminate sails within the fleet and of course we have a National Championships in the South West. Bring on Penzance!

So the season begins with a double header weekend starting at Shustoke on Saturday 15th March. Briefing is at 10.30am followed by the first start at 11am. Entry is a mere £13 and lunch will be available at the club.

For those who are staying over for the second day at South Staffs, an evening meal will be organised. If you need accommodation please contact Stuart Hydon (details available in the full event preview) in order to confirm. Please do this before Thursday night 13 March so the curry house booking can be made. Alternatively if anyone wishes to camp South Staffs will open the club grounds Saturday night. Just let Will Croxford know if you are interested.

The following day we are over to South Staffs where briefing will be at 10.30am and the first start will be at 11 am. There will be three races in total and entry is only £10 and includes free drinks. Lunch will also be available.

And finally, congratulations to Nigel Hufton, winner of the February Lark lottery. March's draw will take place on Monday 31st March and there is the £20 voucher up for grabs from Force 4 Dinghy Centre as well as RYA membership for the year.
