This year's RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show celebrated the 60th birthday of the 505 class. With 60 years of high quality international and National competition it is no surprise that the 505 stands attracted a lot of interest from pass, present and future 505ers.

Far from getting ready to collect its bus pass, the 505 is still attracting some of the best sailors, from medallists to club sailors the 505 is fast fun and responsive giving back far more than it takes to sail and going to the best sailing venues nationally and globally.

With a home world championship coming up at the WPNSA, it's your chance to complete against some of the best dinghy sailor at an Olympic venue.

As the British class association starts to prepare for 2016, we are offering a program of class training in response to the members' needs and the unprecedented level of interest shown at the Dinghy Show asking about the new and second-hand boats for sale. So in response to this we are calling out to anyone with a second-hand 505 that would either like to see it back on the water with someone else or with themselves, or just an interested party.

To contact the association and get involved please contact us through the UK 505 website. By doing so you will automatically sign up for the class newsletter and be able to contact us regarding buying and selling boats finding helms or crews or even tell us your 505 story.
