The Notice of Race for the Etchells Australasian Winter Championship 2014, to be held from the 5th to 8th June, is now published and available on line.

Mooloolaba Yacht Club (MYC) is responsible for organising and conducting the annual event which is in its 18th consecutive year.

The timing of this year's event fits so well with the Etchells World Championship, to be held at Rhode Island USA from the 24th June, that Tom King's Iron Lotus team will use the Mooloolaba event as a warm-up for their World Championship campaign.

On the race track International Race Officers Kevin and Ross Wilson will again be in charge of all technical components of the event, while on shore the event manager, MYC's office manager Lyn Henderson, will handle all the event administration.

Event sponsor Newport Apartments is offering all 2014 competitors, spectators and supporters a special event price on accommodation. The deal is three nights for the price of two for bookings made before 30th April.

Interest in the annual event, notorious for not delivering a successful defence by a winning skipper, is indicating a fleet of 40 plus boats.
