Today the boats completed the 3rd race of the 2014 VTR Chiloé race, main event of the 2013-2014 VTR Oceánico Championship. Bernardo Matte's Pisco Sour achieved its first victory in this competition.

The first warning signal for this challenge was scheduled at 11:30 (local time) but the start was postponed due to lack of wind. Almost two hours later, with a 5 knots S wind and after having moved the start line 6 nm, the Race Committee started this course of 25 nm.

The first boat to cross the finish line was Pisco Sour, the Soto 40 world champion. Bernardo Matte's boat completed the course of 25 nm in 2 hours 39 minutes. After Pisco Sour arrived Jorge Araneda's Santander and Horacio Pavez's Mitsubishi.

The 2014 VTR Chiloé race started yesterday with the Puerto Montt – Calbuco race, in which Horacio Pavez's Mitsubishi achieved the blue ribbon. After that, the Soto 40 completed a windward – leeward course of 4 legs that was won by Norberto Álvarez Vitale's Patagonia.

There are eleven Soto 40 competing in this championship: "Itaú", "Santander", "Yali", "Entel", "Mitsubishi", "Pisco Black", "Pisco Sour", "Patagonia", "Apolonia", "Estampa DelViento" and "Bellavita II".
