Jorge Araneda's "Santander" won the Enrique Elgueta Trophy, the 4th date of the 2013-2014 VTR Oceánico Chamiponship that was held at the Club de Yates de Papudo. Per Von Appen's "Entel" and Norberto Alvarez Vitale's "Patagonia" finished in the second and third place.

Today the boats completed three windward-leeward courses of 4 legs with clear sky and a 7 knots SW wind that increased in the afternoon until it reached 14 knots of speed.

The fifth race of the event started near 12:30 pm. "Estampa DelViento", property of Miguel González, took the lead in the beginning of the race and crossed the line in the first place, followed by "Santander" and "Entel".

Per Von Appen's team became the main character during the last races of the competition and managed to achieve two triumphs. In the sixth race "Yali" and "Santander" ended in the second and third position, while in the seventh race those places were for "Estampa DelViento" and "Patagonia".

Although this two victories weren't enough to win, they did were enough to move "Entel" from the 6th to the 2nd place of the Overall. The Argentinean Soto 40 "Patagonia" ended in the third place.

The next date of the VTR Oceánico will be the 2014 VTR Chiloé Race, which will take place from January 24th to February 1st.
