Soto Enrique Elgueta Trophy at Club de Yates de Papudo - Day 2

In the second day of the Enrique Elgueta Trophy, Jorge Araneda's "Santander" became leader of the fleet with 12 points, while Norberto Álvarez Vitale's "Patagonia" and Dag Von Appen's "Itaú" added 15 points each.

The first race of the day -the 3rd of the event- was scheduled at 12 pm, but it was postponed by the Race Committee due to the lack of wind in Papudo Bay. The start took place near 2 pm with a 6 knots NW wind. Bernardo Matte's "Pisco Black" started in the first position, followed by "Mitsubishi" and "Entel". But in the second mark, Horacio Pavez' "Mitsubishi" achieved the first place and arrived in the first position. "Pisco Black" arrived second and "Santander" in the third place.

The fourth race started near 4 pm with a 6 knots WNW wind. "Santander" kept the leadership of the entire course and won this race, followed by "Pisco Black" and "Itaú".

The Enrique Elgueta Trophy, 4th date of the 2013-2014 VTR Oceánico Championship, will come to its end tomorrow at the Club de Yates de Papudo with the last races that are scheduled at12 pm. Unil now the event is showing the high competition level of all the teams, with 4 different victories in the 4 races that they have fought until now.
