A great start to the Crewsaver West Lancs 24 Hour Race currently being raced in blustery conditions with the breeze varying from 5 to 18 knots with sunshine and torrential downpours.
The race is being led by South Staffs Sailing Club who took a commanding lead under the helm of Mike Senior crewed by Chris Warbuton from the start.
Martin Evans team manger for South Staffs said, "fortunately this year the weather has not turned out to be as forecast and we are happy to be currently leading. West Lancs have certainly put a large amount of effort in this year to make it another great event."
Crewsaver are delighted to be title sponsor for an event ranked as 4th out of 50 sailing events that you must do before you die.
