Over the weekend of 13/14th July 65 visiting boats joined 40 local boats from Castle Cove and Weymouth Sailing Clubs for the 2013 Yacht Clubs of Weymouth Dinghy Regatta.

The great weather provided wonderful conditions for sailors and spectators, and with light winds the decision was made to hold racing in the harbour.

Two courses were set with the asymmetric classes getting three great races in and on the south side of the harbour where the breeze fizzled away early 2 races were completed just in time for the 5 o'clock call to the bar!

After a club supper and some great games in the evening at Castle Cove there were a few sleepy heads on Sunday morning – quite glad of the short postponement while the breeze filled in!

Both courses then managed to get 3 races in finishing off a great weekend's racing with a prize giving and afternoon tea.
