This weekend Hollowell Sailing Club hosted the annual interclub open team event between the Club and nearby Cransley Sailing Club. The event which saw the two clubs battle for the prestigious Tiller, Broken Spar and Broken Daggerboard prizes took place on Saturday. All three prizes had previous been held by Hollowell following last year's event.
The Junior Broken Daggerboard was won by Hollowell Juniors. The Broken Spar award was also won by Hollowell. However, the fast fleet award of Tiller was won by Cransley
Commenting the event, Hudson remarked "This is one of my favourite events in the sailing calendar. They are a great bunch at Cransley."
Sunday saw the continuation of the Sunday Summer Series with over 20 boats taking part in the day's racing. Winds were light; however competitors did have to deal with sudden gusts which during the afternoon reached 25 knots.
Mike Playle currently leads the Series; however Alan Winters, sailing a Mirror eventually won the day, demonstrating some excellent sailing.
Both the Saturday and Sunday Summers Series continue this weekend.
