Budworth Sailing Club Icebreaker Series - Preview

by Wendy Smythe 15 Jan 2013 06:04 GMT 3-31 March 2013

The Budworth Sailing Club Icebreaker Series takes place each Sunday in March, starting Sunday 3rd March to Sunday 31st March 2013 inclusive.

This is an Open handicap series for monohulls with a PY rating from 980 to 1200. (A Junior, under 16, series may also be available, if sufficient numbers warrant: PY 1200 +)

Three races will be sailed each day, the first race starting at 1.30 p.m. The qualifying number of races will be seven, so a minimum of three Sundays will need to be sailed to qualify. In the event of cancellation of a race or races because of weather conditions, the qualifying number will be one-third, rounded up.

The entry fee for visitors is £25 for the series, or £10 per day. The galley will be open serving refreshments and sustaining food.

Visitors who pay for the series may, on request, leave their boat at the Club for the duration of the series.
