The Laser South Coast Grand Prix 2012 is a series of Laser open meetings across the south of England, from as far East as Arun Yacht Club (Littlehampton) to Sutton Bingham Sailing Club near Yeovil in the West. Each venue has its own challenges with sea clubs offering tides and waves to clubs on estuaries and reservoirs with their interesting courses and shifty winds.

The events are open to the 4.7, Radial and Standard rigs. All levels of ability, and any age, young or old are welcome. Competitors need to be members of the UKLA and their boat must conforms to the class rules.

The series is sponsored by Rooster Sailing and Wildwind Sailing Holidays. To qualify for the end of series prizes and a chance of winning a Wildwind sailing holiday, you just need to compete in 5 grand prix events this year. The series results will be available on the Rooster Sailing website. Series prizes supplied by Rooster Sailing to be presented at Spinnaker SC Event. Wildwind sailing holiday to be drawn at the Inlands from all the qualifiers from the 10 2012 Grand Prix Events.
