Dave Pitman, the class secretary of the magnificent J Class, is coming to Lee on Solent SC to talk about the history of the J boats and the plans for them sailing in the Solent this summer.
This is a rare opportunity to hear how the class has developed since 1996 and see exclusive pictures of these unique craft. Numbers are limited so early booking is recommended.
All would be welcome, but please book to avoid disappointment.
The bar will be open from 1800.

Largest ever J Class fleet to race for Royal Southampton YC’s Queen’s Cup

J Class numbers revised for UK regattas
Shortly after the end of the St Barths Regatta, Hanuman, who had come last of the four Js by the smallest of margins, was withdrawn from the 2012 UK events programme; a big disappointment to all those looking forward to seeing her in UK waters.

J-Class yacht Rainbow launches from Holland Jachtbouw
The replica of the J Class “Rainbow”, the famous American yacht which won the 1934 America’s Cup, has been launched at HJB Holland Jachtbouw, Holland. She will sail under the number JH2.

New J Class yacht ’Lionheart’ now on the water
The sensational new J Class yacht LIONHEART has now been launched in Holland. LIONHEART is based on a RANGER design (77F Model) which was tank tested in 1936 but never built.
