All class associations exhibiting at the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show 2010 could be in with a chance of claiming the Spitfire Premium Ale Concours d’Elegance award, sponsored by Shepherd Neame.

The award is presented to the class association with the best presented boat at the show, as chosen by the judging panel, who will visit all class association stands exhibiting at the show during the course of the day on Saturday 6 March.

To enter, boats must be displayed by a class association and must have been sailed at least once, but they can be old or new, of classic or modern design.

The winner’s trophy will be presented during the Exhibitor Party on Saturday evening (6 March); which is also generously sponsored by Shepherd Neame, held in the Palm Court at Alexandra Palace.

As well as claiming the coveted trophy the lucky winner will also have the choice of either one night’s stay for two people (dinner, bed and breakfast) at a Shepherd Neame Managed House or ten cases of Spitfire Premium Ale.

The Spitfire Premium Ale Concours d’Elegance award was presented for the first time at the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show, in association with Yachts and Yachting and Suzuki, in 2009 and was won by Mandy Mitchell with her GP 14 ‘Koru’.
