Radio controlled sailing is a relatively new activity at Frensham Pond Sailing Club and the Footy class were had the signal honour of being the first class to be granted an open meeting.
Warm sunshine and decent breeze greeted the fleet that was both strong in numbers and skill. Very good race management from Don Videlo and his race team meant that all sixteen scheduled races were completed within limit, leaving plenty of time for tea and cake afterwards.
Star of the show was Richard Alford and his venerable boat "Footloose" albeit updated with a Stollery style swing rig. Alford won enough races before the lunchbreak to have the meeting well under control to the extent that he never looked like being beaten.
Overall Results:
1st Richard Alford (Woking) GBR 3, Footloose
1st Lady, Mim Roche (Frensham) GBR 178, Mim
1st Junior, Peter Roche (Frensham GBR 167, Bug
