Brown Cup Scottish Schools Champs at Loch Earn Sailing Club

Loch Earn Sailing Club hosted their annual Scottish Schools Championships on Tuesday the 12th of June. Once again the event was sponsored by Skandia and rash vests were kindly supplied by Gul to all the competitors.

45 entries representing 17 Scottish Schools were split into a 27 boat Topper fleet and an 18 boat Fast Handicap fleet. Race Officer Colin Tait started two races sailed around the clubs fixed marks both races were sailed in a steady North Easterly Force 2-3.

Roy McCubbin RYA Scotland Performance Coach and Loch Earns resident RYA coach Graham McCubbin were on hand throughout the day giving some excellent on the water coaching.

Andy Hazell Sponsorship Executive Skandia Group was once again on site to watch the racing and present the prizes.

Thanks to all the parents, teachers and club members who helped to make this another great event.
