hi
My neighbour's wife has asked me to sell his old moth for her. but I havent got a clue what I am doing, and was hoping that someone could help.
It is K3517
 MK III Skol.
and orange! - unused for years hanging from the roof of the garage.

I havent got a clue what to do.

I sell on Ebay for a living but a quick look and couldnt find any there - so what would be the best place to sell this old boat and the asking price.
Still with original sales and another set too - not in new condition
speculating that it is 1960s!

Your help would be appreciated.

Grace

An old boat like that isn't going to worth a lot. It's a very old design and wouldn't be competitive today so the only people likely to be interested would be those with an interest in classic racing dinghies. It may be idea to email the details to the web-master of the Classic and Vintage Racing Dinghy Association (http://www.cvrda.org) as there might be someone there who would be interested.

Thanks for reply I have now registered on that site too - so no holiday in Barbados just Southend by the sound of it!
I am such a boating novice I will of course spell SAILS correctly on advert!

May well end up on Ebay in next few weeks.

Glad you registered on cvrda site .
Just put it in as a new topic on the Boats For Sale section - there's quite a bit of interest in old Moths on the site at present.

No we still have it but shelved the idea of doing anything with it till the better weather! Unless someone really wants it now - let me know -- it is still suspended in the garage!

The plan is to photograph it in the garden over Easter along with the mast sails and etc and to advertise it asap
Let me know if interested
