Is anyone watching it this morning, I can not find it on BBC interactive but some one from bbc i just rang said you could watch it if you had sky on the BBC interactive. Getting really frustrated when the timetable says that its on from 6 till 10 am this morning.

lost their lead to the Austrians. Almost twin wiring..

That tide looks vicious.

AAAARGH. Bloody director. Cutting away from the line shot a second before two boats cross together is NOT COOL.

(I realise this isn't the BBC's fault)

And is Shirely Robertson going to eventually snap? I'm sure there's only so many references to "your former team mates" she can take...

What about the rule observance in the 9er's - there looks to me like there's been a couple of collisions at the 1st windard mark in race 2 (usa & ukr) then on the 2nd round about 10th or later a gybe setting boat totally got in the way of a boat on portlayline..

yeah I thought that about the tide as well, just watching the angles, speeds pre-start...

Richard Simmonds the new motty??

completely missed the australians going round the other buoy in race 2, and yet we could all see it clearly...then seemed to be surprised when they turned up.

they're running 'gain lines' like they had in the AC but I suppose that is being done from the pictures rather than GPS tracking. I guess with the cameras on the back then you don't want to add any more weight on the boats..

Two or three attempts at that last start - stopped the sequence for wind each time

You are all so lucky. I am based in Japan now and all I can see on the telly here are the sports that the Japanese team participate in and public seems interested. Got a lifetime appreciation of Judo, Lacrosse and air-rifle shooting. Can I have my sailing coverage now please??? Enjoy whatever you have!

There seem to be a number of broadcasters with websites showing the same live coverage but with their own commentaries. SA (dinghy forum) has a thread with  links with a number of them. The BBC coverage most of us are watching appears to be available only to UK IP addresses but maybe if you look around you can find something available in Japan.

I haven't even tried to find sailing coverage on the TV.

Quote from his report ...

"In the first race the mainsheet bridle snapped after they realised it had been slowly chafing on the camera mount that sits on the rudder gantry of their boat."

Not all the boats have cameras. How do they get allocated? How heavy are they - they are certainly noticeable? Is this a possible redress?

Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else

Shouldn't happen at that level of competition, a risk not identifed and eliminated.
