When you've got a mainsheet in one hand, a great big long tiller extension in the other hand, you're trying to stay on the wire and the wind is strengthening and you can feel in your bones you're about to go for a swim, there's not much time to take photos!

Yep, I got wet... Then I took the Topper and boy, ain't it small!

Well done to Prince Buster for his real first sail yesterday, with wind and swim and all

Okay then, I will rise to the challenge and show you all my best side.  Nearly perfect sailing weather. Crystal clear skies, 10-12kt breeze, steady, no holes. and -2C.  God that water was cold.

Teeheee it's a good ploy you've found there boys: everyone's so keen to show their boats....... but........... oops............. technical glitch........
Yeah right...

I can post a pic of my boat, sailed properly before it belonged to me

Don't wait to see my boat sailed properly by me, it won't happen this year!

Yeah i dont like neoprene so a full wetsuit is out of the question and couldnt afford any standard neoprene shorts at the time so i just cut out the battons on my roosters.  Worked a treat!  No worries, got myself some really nice magic marine shorts from the dinghy show

oh well my old 14 falls apart all the time. so i make it lighter by ripping chunks out and adding carbon

i am crewing.

we had such bad conditions that we went over bout  times so were knacked.  the boat had a leak so it was full of water as u can see the stern is down. the only wasy he could stop falling off was to sit in while we were sailing deep.

( it was my first time racing a 5000 so a bit of a baptism of fire i still want one tho)

had a massive laugh at that even i fell over at the end tho exausted and my hands were bleading cause i only had short finged gloves

Having taken ownership of 541 in late November, and attempting to sail her during the cold COLD icicle of the Winter series, I am very proud to report that I did 3 races last Sunday and stayed dry (no swimming) all day.

This may not sound like much to most of the forumites, but to me this is a big BIG thing.

I am happy and feeling confident about owning and sailing a Contender again.

I for one say - BNS photo's only when you are comfortable.  Not just to please everyone else

From memory, the kite had just been hoisted at that point and wasn't full at all. I'll try and get a shot under a different angle and see what you think.

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and
oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital
ingredient in beer.

thanks bns that one is cool. all the ones look really good.

isis i think that the pole isnt quite out in the other pics but is only about an inch or so from not out that is due to the rope fraying in the pole and making it really hard to pull out.

Should have seen it and replaced it before it got to that state tho. Should be ckecking the boat over after sailing everyweek. If it had broken you could have trashed a few things!

to be honist i think u are talking rubbish!!  we do cheak the boat over but it was still there and had quite alot of inner core to wear though before it went, also if it did go the only thing that would happen is the tack would fly off and i would just drop the spinni and pull the pole in, we have done it before.
