What are the best "warm, vvvvvvv grippy sailing gloves" about???

I currently use the green(usually orange) DIY grippy gloves.....but after having completely numb hands during sailing and then suffering really bad hot-aches on shore 2day....I think I need some winter gloves

I sailed with the gill neoprene ones last year...they kept my hands warm but they were shreaded within 1 month (sailing on a RS200 in mostly F3-5...so imagine wot they'll do on the 4000 and 49er )......and they don't have a massive amount of grip!!!  not sure whether or not just bite the bullet and get these again and just put up with having to get a new pair every couple of months

Or....what are the thermo grippy gloves like?...and does anyone know where I can get a size 6 from???...i've only got tiny hands

Any help would be gr8!

Thanx Les!

Do they have a really good grip?....I was really struggling with the kite hoists and drops 2day due to no grip left on my gloves (and the cold hands!).

I don't have any probs with them

To keep you fingers warm the trick is to keep moving them!

Ive got a pair of the DIY style gloves and am planning to wear a pair of neoprene  Kooga G-flex rugby gloves underneith when it gets properly cold. I wear them for marathon kayaking where flexibility and 'natural feeling' is very important and they are the best ive found.
It might turn out that they are just too think and clumsy but its worth a try

If you keep your hands moving, the less you feel the cold.

Plus, may sound silly, but I try and keep my hands as dry as possible for as long as I can, dont get so cold so quickly then.

Now whats it worth for me not 2 tell Fran u said that!

Thanks simsy....the only trouble with the 4000 and 49er is it isnt really a boat u can keep ur hands dry on

This may sound stupid but the secret to warm hands is warm arms. Make sure your body is warm enough and keep moving.  I had cold hands today until the race started and then eveything went toasty!

Otherwise the Rooster Winter gloves are well worth a look.

I use the same gloves  summer and winter as sailing the Inter destroys most gloves - Magic Marine  something or other -  Ask Angus  at  Jonti.  Just get warm before you put your sailing kit on and stay warm if you can.

I have just tried the latex palm work gloves and they are officially the best sailing gloves ever, nothing else comes close, they are soooooo grippy, you dont even need to hold the sheet (on our new large kite on the cherub) they are fab fab fab. I am going to invest in many more pairs!
