I am contemplating buying a used K6. I have a some questions while I do my initial research;
Do they all come with crane lifting points ? if not can they be added later ? (I will need to regularly crane it about) Regarding the centre plate. Can its depth be adjusted on the water or is just an up or down plate (Our club has some shallows) I will occasionally need to sail single handed, is this an option on a K6 ? Finally are there any other modern boats that I should also consider that are similar ? e.g. under 20 feet, drop steel keel, crew 1-3, Asymmetric kite. |

Four point lifting: longish line linking both shroud U bolts together and another even longer line linking each extremity of the rudder gantry. Bring both loops together and that is your lifting point.
The keel is plain up and down. One can sail the boat singlehanded quite easily particularly with the self tacking jib. Also not difficult to hoist the kite. The difficulty can be dropping the kite though especially in a gust! Consider the VX1 too.
