I've just bought a rather nice 420 which I'll be sailing with my daughter (aged 11).
It's been a while since I helmed a proper dinghy (I crew an F18) and weigh 75kg. We'll be sailing on the sea off a beach.
I've been reading up the tips on the 420 association all very good and useful, any other top tips I should know would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Its well worthwhile attending the training camps etc put on by the class association -although they are primarily aimed at youngsters.
At the National championships they used to (no doubt still do ) have a coach in attendance who was a great help
