Going to look at a RS Vareo tomorrow, Photos make it all look very nice. Is there anything I should look out for. It is mid 100's sail no. so an early one but looks little used.
Thanks Paul. |

check no water in hull, general stress areas.
Dont go spending loads, as the rs100 may make vareo's loose value, who knows. |

Hi Paul. Earlyish ones are good! (So I hear). Check the
hull moulding joint for fine cracks which could let water in. Is the mast straight? They can bend a bit low down below the gooseneck. The latest ones are strengthened here to stop it. Usual things like chunks out of the foils might be a bargaining point, but easily fixed. Crispy kite? A mod to the kicker fixing on the mast is good to move it to the front of the mast - easy done, but tape over it as it'll snag the kite. A good boat that's a blast down wind.... & you can take a friend to play the kite & enjoy the fun too! Good luck! Edited by didlydon |
