right guys, i am looking for a boat for 50 quid, need to be sailable and not be totally screwed. so if anyone has anything in the back of a boat yard or park then i will take it. i have lost my job so want somthing to keep me busy. i was looking for a solo or somthing smallish. but i can do it up if needs be. come on guys make me some offers or if ur being really nice donate me something |

how about a firefly, put a nice tank in it a bit of re-deck action and then you can spend hours discussing the legalities of it with the class.

Look for a national 12 or a merlin mate they are usually fairly cheap, good luck getting something that isn't rotten as a pear for £50!

Project boats can be a lot of fun, but they aren't very cheap, especially in the UK where decent timber is damn expensive...
If you want something to keep you busy it would probably be both cheaper and more productive to see if there's work to be done at your club - then the rest of the membership will be paying for all the materials... Edited by JimC |

Hi Olly. We've got a very nice wooden Snipe that's been sitting under the cover of a large arch down at the club for a few years. The hull's in good nick, no rot that I can see...... we'll happily take £50 for it............ PM me & i'll send you some pics if you are interested........... It needs moving as the council want the space back............
