At the risk of sounding stoopid - does it work sticky side down, like you'd normally use it (for sticking parcels, not er, anything else...), or do you mean using it 'upside down'....

Cling film is good if you need to shape the gelcoat at all.

It was a most unsatisfactory job! Next time I am leaving it to "the professionals"!! I have wrinkles, scratches and a gel coat with stripes (my new stuff wasn't the same colour as my orriginal boat).Polishing with t-cut didn't get rid of the fine sand paper marks, and when I tried to be clever and use my Black and Decker Mouse to polish it in I only suceeded in spraying myself and the wall with t-cut. I have given up, turned the boat the right way up and refuse to think about it. This was ok until I was sailing like a pudding in light wind on Saturday and I started to wonder - was it the scratches and wrinkles.........
I don't suffer from insanity...I enjoy every moment of it.
