Hello,

I need to track a few ships in my fleet and I would like to understand better their movement and create an analysis of the speed, movement and location. Do you know how it is possible to do that? An developer in my company talked about API sorta thing (i dont really understand much about it) and that we can connect to some database somehow and have it visualized.

Do you have any experience with that?

Smart Phones and 'RaceQs" should do it.

Ahh Nice! Thank you for that link. I was hoping tho to have a more automated system where it would feed the data automatically with AIS or something..

https://datalastic.com/ is the portal we use. They have lots of AIS data and are similar to vesselfinder but we had a better experience with customer service there. This of course if you are serious about your project and dont mind spending some money.
