I vaguely remember in the mid 90's Vauxhall rented Silverstone for a week and invited anyone who had ever owned a vauxhall to see their new Vectra, their were Go-Karts, Caterhan 7's etc, don't know if it was a success ?
National water sports festival appears to be similar, dinghies etc, in an environment where you can use them rather than just admire them. iGRF, Not many builders could afford to carry enough stock to offer off the shelf sales, possibly only builders of Laser ?

We rented Silverstone and set up a bike trade show a couple of years back because we couldn't get into the closed shop trade show that existed at the time. It's not a bad venue but no good for boats other than a static show like the dinghy exhibition and from memory you haven't got enough room with ceiling height which is a problem for Dinghy Shows.
