I heard* a rumour RS we're considering starting an RS sailing club. Only RS boats allowed, privately owned or hiring club boats for the weekend or season. Lower cost of entry, big fleets, no maintenance and professional facilities. Like a David Lloyd on-the-sea if you like. Not everyone's cuppa, but exciting development.
*well, I didn't, but thought I'd start one. Edited by A2Z - 08 Nov 17 at 9:18pm |

Does it offer mid week membership with no weekend duties?

I think it might mean pretentious gin and tonic for those with more money than sense, but I wouldn't guarantee that. I don't move in such circles. |

It does and sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t; but FWIW buying the gin in duty free and the tonic from Tesco is a lot cheaper than night out in ‘Spoons. Less calories too... Edited by turnturtle - 09 Nov 17 at 3:14am |

And Force 4 winds every day, RS employees to rig and tune your boat and deliver it to the beach edge, and ensure you don’t get your feet wet, and then waiting with your trolley when you come in ... handing you a beer as they take the boat away to pack it up ....
