Topic: Any information on MG Club 16 Posted: 12 Sep 17 at 5:35pm |
I bought a Club 16 which may have been built by MG Yachts in Scotland, as I know they built a Club 19.
I can find no information on it anywhere, so anything would be gratefully accepted - any old MG Yachts employees out there? I would especially like to know whether the original and standard lifting keel disappeared into the boat completely, or whether the rather crude bulb at the bottom (which is about 6 inches below the bottom when the keel is fully retracted) was the standard?

Thanks again. I rang today but he was out surveying, so I have just sent him an email.
The pic of your cat is too small to see what it is. I used to follow the C class races, and always wanted an A class, but have to admit that cats scare me rigid! David

Hi its a one off that john pierce of stealth marine put together for me , we called it a stealth sxl ( super extra large ) and played on hurricane 5.9 sx from which i came from .
It is an f18 ht platform with initially f16 rig and sails , the sails have grown over the years ! , i had it built as im of a larger size 118 kgs and wanted something that could compete with two man boats up and down wind whilst having similar schrs to the h5.9 sx which were prevalent in my club . It has been a fantastic boat , a dream to sail and own .
