Can I get a refund, that certainly wasn't as exciting as I expected. How can two boats make "windy" look so slow

Sorry Neptune
They are two of our best sailors, I can assure you they were moving, (although Laser sailor normally sails a Comet Duo). I always think the Mirror is the MK1 Landrover of the sailing world.

That is the Miracle you are trying to describe, not the Mirror? The Mirror is great in a blow. |

Have to agree that was probably more fun to do than to watch! |

Oh, and the GP14 is the MK 1 Landrover. The Mirror is the Suzuki Jeep.

Video shows stability of Mirror and skill of sailor in testing conditions rather than a spray fest.
Learned to sail in a GP14, originally intended to get one, but slope from boat park up to water put me off.

Much of the mirror's bad rep comes from people sailing poorly built, maintained and rigged boats which are heavy, and have rags for sails. A properly looked after mirror does not remotely plough down into the water, not unless you happen to have an anchor in the front locker.
If you get a modern (post 69###ish) plastic one it should be light and stiff and will be great in pretty much any and all conditions. I raced them in winds well into 6 gusting 7 and they were fine. Only reason I didn't mention it is that you will most likely get a much better feva for the money. Plus a feva is faster so will help if you end up handicap racing as you'll be more likely to be in the pack of other boats.

Do I detect a touch of irony there 432?

Laser sailors at my club have all the Laser bad habits, for once a correctly sailed boat held position for a leg.
