If snagging not an issue, I use cable ties to hold loose ends.

I'd go with the Fisherman's knot. Easy to tie, never let me dowm and then some tape over the ends to tidy it up

I just think that sometimes people should agree with Grumps and be nice to him.

It leaves him wrong-footed.
