I am considering selling my quarter tonner and going for a boat that still sails well but is a litte more suitable to cruise with my wife and 2 kids.
The MGC 27 has caught my eye and I would be interested in peoples views and opinions on the boat. I would also be interested to hear from anyone who has views on the comparable performance between the lifting Keel and fixed keel versions. If anyone can give me any pointers on specific things to look out for if I view one of the number of MGC27s that are currently on the market that would also be helpful. On a final point, I took a little interest in these boats a few years ago and they seemed to go then for £15-16K. I note the current batch on the market are on for circa 19K are these boats appreciating in value or are the current sellers just being greedy?? I only have around £15K to spend and don't want to waste peoples time if the boat is really outside my budget. |
