You can use SQUID (www.squid-sailing.com) for this kind of offline weather analysis

It is free for a short list of weather models (GFS, CMC, Arpege) on a worldwide coverage.

You can also subscribe to specific packages that will provide more accurate/hi-resolution weather grib files (NAM, Arome, oceanic current, etc)

I use U-grib for a free forecast, usually very good...

Hi
I was told of a programme that is free and can be down loaded onto a laptop. You then select an area of the world and download via e-mail a file which holds a 5 day forecast. Unfortunately I have lost the name of the programme. Can anyone give me information about this software.
