I agree it should be a good year for catamarans at the show. Being the stand organiser for the UKCRA stand I have worked hard with other UKCRA officials to make sure the stand represents all catamaran classes. Having the NACRA 17 on the stand will help and it will show the youth progress path from the Topper CX through to the Spitfire and onto the 17. There should be prizes, sweeties and all the usual goodies. We just need catamaran sailors out in force so show their support. |

It looks like this year’s Dinghy Show will have plenty of new cats this year: 1. The XC5 catamaran which looks very different. 2. Nacra 17 Olympic Cat. I have only seen pictures. 3. The Topaz 14 Xtreme has added a jib, improved sail the controls and a slightly reduced main sail, to become the Junior Catamaran. 4. 5. I expect RS 16 cat will be there, hopefully, complete with spinnaker. 6. Also A class, Sprint 15, Spitfire and Dart 18 will be there. That’s a lot of new stuff. If you have any more “must see” information about the show, please post. Edited by stewart smith - 14 Feb 14 at 7:09am |
