Been a while since this was discussed, if at all?
Which club has the best pint? Whitefriars SC, for all it is great in so many ways, just has a few cans in stock in the kitchen, so must be pretty near the bottom of the pile. Where should I go visit?! Edited by Rupert - 28 Nov 13 at 12:26pm |

Anywhere on the East Coast selling Adnams, anywhere in Cormwall selling Doom Bar.
I also enjoyed a black one in one of the YCs in Dun Laoghaire... that was nice. Edited by yellowwelly - 28 Nov 13 at 12:29pm |

I was impressed by the Broon's Bar at Loch Lomond SC this summer.

At m.w.y.c we have adnams and old speckled hen in bottles in the bar all the time plus a small selection of others ie hook Norton, badger or doom bar. It just depends what takes my fancy when i am doing a bar order
Lager wise, we have Becks or Stella, it just depends which is cheaper when I am buying. Edited by Blue One - 28 Nov 13 at 1:20pm |

No bar at our club but for opens we normally get in a keg of the local micro brewery ale. Won lots of prizes.

Phantom Southern series has been sponsored by Exmoor Ales for the last couple of years, resulting in provision of Exmoor Beast or Exmoor Gold at each host club on event days. Truly excellent beer made all the more enjoyable at the end of a good days yachting.

Our club has potentially the best pint a man can drink, paid for by those Bandits in the Merlin when we beat them, the rest of the time it tastes crap because we're buying..
