We sail on the Colne Estuary, which provides sheltered sea sailing. We can sail at any state of the tide and the Club has safe and easy launching via its own ramp into Brightlingsea Creek. With two days of great racing, full bar and galley service throughout the weekend and well known band Contraband to entertain at Saturday night’s Skiff Fest revelries we’re looking forward to a great weekend.
There’s plenty to keep friends and family entertained ashore, too, as the Club is open from early morning to late at night. There’s a sandy beach right outside the Club, and there are walks along the River Colne and Brightlingsea Creek, playgrounds, a seawater paddling pool, and the ever-popular crabbing from Brightlingsea Hard. All are within a few minutes’ walk of the Club, so you can forget the car.
