Hyde Sails is based on the Hamble River, Hampshire with offices and a new service facility in Swanwick, Hampshire. The wholly owned production sail loft in the Philippines now employs over 200 people in 50,000 sq ft of space and manufactures over 40,000 sails per year for dinghies through to keelboats and yachts.

Stunning Spring Series starts the season

The Warsash Spring Series and Spring Championships saw some stand-out performances for Hyde Sails. The First 40 ‘Winston’ had a fabulous result in IRC2, while the J/80s ‘J2X’ and J’ai Deux Amours’ were battling it out for the top spot.

The 2012 Scottish yacht training weekend in Androssan, gave crews an ideal chance to tune up ahead of the new season. Over the weekend of April 14-15 a fleet of 15 yachts gathered in Androssan for the annual preseason race training weekend.

Winning start for Hyde-powered J/80

The Easter Weekend saw the Hyde-powered J/80, helmed by Rob Larke, taking the top spot. A great start for the team, which has its eyes on the class world title later in the year finally came good at the RORC Easter Challenge.

Hyde success in Sussex Regatta

The Sussex Regatta is traditionally the first of the season, taking place over Easter weekend. This year the event was hosted by Sovereign Harbour YC in Eastbourne, with the fleet split into three classes, two IRC fleets and one SCCH.

Hyde-powered Squib wins Mike Flint Trophy

The Mike Flint Trophy, held in Burnham on Crouch, saw 11 boats starting the first race to the west. Places changed so many times that everybody lost track of who was where, in the end Humphrey got away and won.

Hyde Sails at the London Boat Show
